A poem I wrote about being creative
Pencil and paper, needle and thread,
I make from my heart, and not from my head.
Trusting myself and the choices I make,
It's part of the process and not a mistake.
Each project's a journey where I learn along the way
that every splatter and splinter are not here to stay.
From the flecks of glitter stuck under my nails
to the feeling I get when I think it's a fail,
I look all around, and what do I see?
Inspiration! Everywhere! Beaming at me!
The spark's reignited, I feel it inside.
It's time to continue with a renewed sense of pride.
The light's on again! It's so bright in here!
I can't go to sleep when I'm thinking so clear.
Alllll the good ideas keep me up at night,
I want to do EVERYTHING, and I know I just might.

I believe that everyone is creative in their own way, nobody is perfect, and every project is a journey to understanding yourself better.
